Alexandra “Alex” Geissmann

Alexandra “Alex” Geissmann is a senior criminal defense attorney at Phillips Law who focuses on serious felony cases in the New Orleans area. She represents individuals facing high-stakes charges, including violent offenses, major drug prosecutions, and complex felony allegations.

Before joining Phillips Law, Alex spent four years at the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office — one of the most demanding prosecutorial offices in the country. There, she quickly rose through the ranks, led two sections of court, and managed hundreds of criminal cases across a wide spectrum of felony charges. She also served as a mentor to younger attorneys in Magistrate Court.

Her experience inside the prosecutor’s office gives her a critical advantage in criminal defense.
