What areas of law does your firm specialize in?

Our firm focuses exclusively on criminal defense. We represent individuals facing charges ranging from misdemeanors and traffic offenses to serious felony cases. Our goal is to help clients understand what’s happening in their case and what options they have moving forward.

What Parishes do you service?

Misdemeanor, DWI, and expungement cases are primarily handled in the following parishes: Orleans, Jefferson, St. Charles, St. John the Baptist, St. James, St. Tammany, Plaquemines, Terrebonne, Lafourche, St. Bernard, Washington, Tangipahoa, Livingston, Ascension, and East Baton Rouge.

Traffic ticket matters are generally handled in Orleans Parish and Jefferson Parish.

For serious felony cases, we accept cases throughout these parishes and may consider matters in other Louisiana courts depending on the circumstances. Our goal is to help clients understand what’s happening in their case and what options they have moving forward.

Where is your office located in New Orleans?

Our office is located at 700 Camp Street in New Orleans, LA.

It is conveniently located in the Central Business District in New Orleans, ensuring easy access for clients throughout New Orleans and the surrounding communities. 

What are your office hours?

Our physical office hours are 9:00-5:00 PM.  Monday through Friday.  This is by appointment only as our attorneys are usually in court.

Is parking available near your office?

Yes, there is plenty of metered street parking next to our law office. We understand the importance of convenient access for our clients and strive to ensure a hassle-free experience when visiting our office.

Do you offer virtual consultations or meetings?

Yes, we offer virtual consultations and meetings for clients who prefer to meet remotely or are unable to visit our office in person. This allows us to provide convenient and accessible legal services while maintaining the same level of personal attention and expertise.

I'm from out of town/out of state. Is that a problem?

No, it is not a problem if you are out of state. We regularly handle cases for out-of-state residents and are equipped to manage everything remotely. We are happy to conduct consultations and meetings over the phone or via Zoom.

Our firm utilizes Clio, an online case management system, allowing you to share documents and receive real-time updates on your case. You can also schedule appointments online at your convenience.

It is very rare for us to require clients to come into the office.  We ensure that you receive comprehensive legal support no matter where you are located.

Do you offer free initial consultations?

How do I schedule a consultation with your firm?

Scheduling a consultation with our office is easy. You can call our office at 504-434-7000 24/7.  Our friendly staff will promptly assist you in setting up a convenient time for your consultation.

What should I expect during my initial consultation?

During your initial consultation with our office, you can expect to meet with one of our experienced attorneys who will listen to your concerns, review the details of your case, and provide an initial assessment. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions about the legal process, discuss your goals, and receive straightforward advice on how to proceed with your legal matter.

Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?

Yes, we understand that our clients have busy schedules. We offer evening and weekend appointments by request to accommodate your availability. Please contact our office to inquire about scheduling options outside of regular business hours.

Do you offer jail visit consultations?

Yes, we offer initial jail visit consultations for a flat fee of $500.

This includes a one-hour session with your loved one who is currently in jail.  Our attorney will answer all their questions regarding our firm.  In addition, the attorney will give an initial case analysis and answer any questions they may including but not limited to:

  • Pros and cons of current legal representation (public defender vs. private attorney)
  • Explanation of charges, statute, and potential penalties
  • Explanation of previous conviction(s) and how they might affect current charge (multiple offender statue)
  • Explanation of court system and what to expect from the Judge and prosecutor.
  • Brief review of facts and potential strengths and weaknesses to case
  • Self-defense analysis if applicable
Will I meet directly with an attorney during my consultation?

Absolutely. We prioritize personal attention and direct communication between our attorneys and clients. You will meet directly with an experienced attorney who will handle your case from start to finish. This ensures that you receive tailored legal advice and guidance specific to your situation.

Can I get an estimate of the timeline for my case?

The timeline for each case can vary depending on its complexity, the specifics of your situation, and various legal factors. During your initial consultation with our office, we will provide you with an initial assessment of the timeline based on our experience handling similar cases. Throughout the process, we will keep you informed of any developments that may affect the timeline of your case.

Communication:

How do you keep clients informed about their cases?

We maintain open lines of communication with our clients throughout the legal process, providing regular updates on case developments, court appearances, and important deadlines.

We keep Clio, our case management software, updated with court dates.  You an also message us on Clio or share documents.  

How quickly can I expect a response back if I contact your firm?

Our office understands the urgency of legal matters.  That’s why we have a virtual receptionist available 24/7 to answer your call, set up appointments and take messages.

We strive to respond to all inquiries promptly.   Typically, you can expect to hear back from us within 24 hours after contacting our office. If your matter requires immediate attention, please indicate the urgency when you reach out to us.

Criminal Legal Fees:

Our legal fees are determined based on the specific circumstances of each case, including the complexity of the charges, the amount of time and resources required, and the potential outcomes.

We offer transparent fee structures and discuss our fee arrangements with clients upfront to ensure clarity and transparency throughout the legal process.

Are there any hidden costs or additional fees?

Do you offer discounts for military personnel or veterans?

Do you offer pro bono or reduced-fee services?

No, we do not offer pro bono or reduced-fee services.  While our primary focus is providing high-quality legal representation to our clients, we understand that some individuals may face financial hardship.

Do you offer payment plans or accept credit cards?
